An Introduction

Welcome to my blog. I’m sure that there are a lot of people peeking at my website wondering who the heck I am. Time for an intro.

I’m Jordan Delmonte. I’m a traveling landscape photographer based in America. I’ve been intermittently traveling across North America for the last two years. I first picked up a camera way back in 2015 before I had even shipped off to college. But my real journey as a traveling photographer began in Chicago, Illinois around March 2018. Since then, I’ve been on 9 photography road trips, with many more coming up (Check out my Travels page to see what’s coming up and my past spots!). A lot has happened on those trips, but those are stories for another time.

Labeling this solely as a blog or an online journal would be selling this section of my website short. I’m keen to maintain the general idea of this being a blog, but I want it to function more as an online notebook. A running stream of thoughts and ideas presented in various ways. Travel photography is a congested market right now. There are a lot of great photographers out there that create similar content to myself. This blog (notebook) is a way for me to stand out in the way of presentation. Images should tell an expanded story. Having this platform to expand on the already existing stories my images tell is important to me.

This blog will be filled with tons of useful content. I already have a running list of topics I plan to write about that includes gear recommendations, location notes, and other intriguing travel related topics. If there is anything specific you want me to write about, feel free to contact me! Posts will be released at the beginning of each month. Stay tuned for more.
